§ 118-92. Criteria.

  • The chief building official shall hear and render judgment on any request for variance from the requirements of this chapter only if:

    (1)

    The variance concerns the height restrictions of this chapter;

    (2)

    The proposed sign for which a variance is requested does not exceed 80 feet in height;

    (3)

    The sign for which a variance is requested is an on-premises sign;

    (4)

    There are no other signs on the same premises that exceed the height limitation of this chapter; and

    (5)

    The proposed sign for which a variance is requested will be located within 200 feet of the interstate highway system.
