§ 18-847. Issuance; contents.

  • (a)

    The chief building official shall examine the application for a permit to move a house. If it is in order, he shall issue the permit. The permit shall show:

    (1)

    The name of the licensee;

    (2)

    The present location of the house;

    (3)

    The proposed new location;

    (4)

    The route of moving, as approved by the chief building official;

    (5)

    The exact date and time during which the house will occupy the streets and sidewalks;

    (6)

    The time the house is allowed to remain in the streets;

    (7)

    The size and type of construction of the house; and

    (8)

    The receipt of the permit fee.

    (b)

    The permit issued to the licensee must be posted on the house to be moved throughout the move.

    (c)

    The acceptance of the permit by the licensee shall constitute a binding obligation and contract on the licensee's part to abide by and comply with the terms of the permit and of this article.
