§ 94-303. Imposition of civil penalty for violations.

  • (a)

    The owner of a motor vehicle is liable for a civil penalty of $75.00 if, while facing only a steady red signal displayed by an electrically operated traffic-control signal located in the city, the vehicle is operated in violation of the instructions of that traffic-control signal, as specified by V.T.C.A., Transportation Code § 544.007(d).

    (b)

    An owner who fails to pay the civil penalty within the time allowed by this article shall be subject to a late payment penalty of $25.00.
