§ 94-188. Parking areas for persons with disabilities.

  • (a)

    By authority of V.T.C.A., Transportation Code § 681.001 et seq., the city may designate and establish spaces on the streets and on any property owned or controlled by the city and the owner or person in control of any private property may designate and establish spaces thereon for the exclusive use as parking spaces or parking areas for the transport vehicles for persons with disabilities.

    (b)

    The parking spaces or parking areas shall be marked with signs in the manner provided by V.T.C.A., Transportation Code § 681.001 et seq.

    (c)

    Unauthorized use of the parking spaces or parking areas, whether on public or private property, shall be unlawful and shall be punishable by a fine as provided in section 1-14.
