§ 94-183. Curb parking.

  • (a)

    A person commits an offense if he stops, stands or parks a vehicle, bicycle or motor-assisted bicycle in a curb zone:

    (1)

    For a period of time longer than is designated;

    (2)

    At a time prohibited by designation; or

    (3)

    For any purpose other than that which is designated.

    (b)

    It is an exception to the application of subsection (a)(1) of this section if such vehicle displays special license plates issued under V.T.C.A., Transportation Code § 502.263 or a disabled parking placard placed on the rearview mirror of the vehicle's front windshield.

    (c)

    It is an affirmative defense to an offense under subsection (a)(2) of this section if such stopping, standing or parking has prior approval of the city manager or chief of police and approval of the city council.
