§ 38-97. Posting notice of reward.

(a)

Notice of the arson reward shall be posted on eight-inch by 12-inch placards, mounted in wooden frames and protected by glass. The lettering shall be printed in clear and legible print and shall state the following:

ARSON REWARD
The City of Baytown, Texas, hereby offers a reward of TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) for the arrest and conviction of any person or persons found guilty of committing the crime of ARSON within the corporate limits of said City of Baytown, Texas. This reward is a standing offer, and shall be paid out of the contingency fund of the City of Baytown, Texas.

(b)

These placards shall be placed in or on public buildings at the direction of the fire marshal with the approval of the city manager.
