§ 2-26. Deputy city clerk.
The city clerk may appoint one or more deputies to assist in the performance of the duties of the office and may require such bond from the person so appointed as is deemed necessary for indemnity. The deputies appointed in accordance with this section may do and perform all the duties imposed and required of the city clerk by the Charter or this Code. All acts of such deputies done in conformity with the law shall be as binding and valid as if done by the city clerk in person.
