§ 18-216. Duties.

(a)

The chief building official shall enforce this article. The chief building official shall, upon application, grant permits for the installation or alteration of electrical equipment and shall make inspections of electrical installations, all as provided in this article.

(b)

The chief building official shall exercise a general supervision over all electrical construction and over all electrical contractors and electricians licensed to carry on their business or trade under this article.
